The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (commonly known as “FinCEN”) determined that Thomas E. Haider, Chief Compliance Officer and Senior Vice President of Government Affairs at MoneyGram International Inc., willfully violated the Bank Secrecy Act and its implementing regulations and concluded that grounds existed to assess a $1 million civil money penalty against Haider.
